I take great delight in this work-in-progress update as lovely Isla is slowly taking shape.
My husband, Michael and I made contact with his “long-lost” cousins back in May this year when my portrait, “Girl with a Jack Wills bag” appeared as an exhibit at the Menier Gallery in London. I’m so pleased that we got in touch with Mary and Clare and found Isla and her mum, Emma by social media on Facebook.
Hopefully this 29cm x 19cm image won’t take too long to render in Derwent Artists & Coloursoft on smooth Bristol board.
How do you think I’m doing? Isla is a cute toddler, so angelic and I’m honoured to be able to use her mum’s photo as reference material.
